Job Description Job Overview: The Logistic Technician position operates a forklift and/or overhead crane to properly load and unload material onto trucks. Essential Job Functions: Responsible for operating forklift and overhead crane to load and unload material onto trucks Processes work orders from bills of lading Double check parts before shipping. Responsible for packaging cut products Collaborates with other handlers and supervisor Ensures correct products are being loaded and unloaded by matching order numbers to printed tags Performs preoperational safety checks on forklift and overhead crane Labels and packages finished products Follow safe job procedures including inspecting forklift, equipment and tools before operating Move materials to and from storage or production areas using a forklift Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or materials moving needs Complete necessary paperwork when needed Record information in a computer screen Band material and attach identifying tags Assist in good housekeeping practices-keep work area and walkway clean and free of debris Job Overview: The Logistic Technician position operates a forklift and/or overhead crane to properly load and unload material onto trucks.
