General Description of Position:
Provide leadership for the management and oversight of all aspects of the student academic records system. Provides leadership in the development and implementation of new systems and enhancements of existing systems such as voice response and web-based services regarding registration. Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views. Provide a high level of customer service to all internal and external customers.


Major Responsibilities:

Manager of Student Records: Maintain all student records, consistently auditing for accuracy. Responsible for recording transfer credit, credit evaluations and advanced standing, and be knowledgeable regarding the integration of College records. Supervise archiving of records through document imaging and/or other processes. Prepare and distribute probation reports to faculty and communicate with students regarding probationary status. Manage the processing of grades, proactively communicating with faculty on how, when, and what to report. Manage a system for the evaluation and processing of transfer of credit, articulation, and equivalency request. Follow-up on incomplete grade documentation, missing grades, grade changes, and status monitoring. Train employees in the proper use and security of the student record system. Serve as custodian of Official College Seal.
* Enrollment: Supervise and process all changes of enrollment data, including grade changes, drop/adds, and withdrawals. Maintain and post enrollment records including appropriate document imaging of permanent records. Responsible for organizing, coordinating, and conducting all registration activity, including the on-line student system. Ensure that faculty and administration receive current and accurate course registration and class enrollment information.
* Graduation: Proactively coordinate communication with students nearing completion of credentials. Oversee graduation certification including proactively partnering with System's Office to ensure students who have completed their degree requirements are reported. Communicate with those students who have reported that they are ready to graduate but are missing requirements.
* Transcripts: Provide academic transcripts and enrollment certifications to authorized agencies and College personnel. Aid students in obtaining transcripts, including printed from Registrar Office and/or via Parchment.
* FERPA: Develop procedures for the implementation of the provisions of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and ensure that college personnel are aware of and adhere to those policies.
* Manager of Academic Institutional Research: Assist campus leaders with data needs to support strategic initiatives. Work collaboratively with Business Intelligence to create data reporting, tracking, and messaging that will support the College's mission. Monitor institutional data and act as a clearinghouse and service agent to the campus community who request data.



Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree. Five years of relevant experience, including at least three years of direct leadership experience in registration and/or records. Three years of supervisory experience. A strong dedication to customer service that includes a passion for problem solving and helping others.


Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, or data management information systems preferred. Master's degree preferred. A proven record of working successfully with diverse populations and experience with a SunGuard Banner system. Proven experience working collaboratively with others.

Hiring Range:
$57,000-$60,000
