Process Operators at our Lafayette South plant are responsible
for the safe operations, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of
a highly automated, state of the art system that produces
distinctive, high quality ingredients and solutions to the food,
beverage, and other industries.

- Reporting all incidents, defects, hazards and inadequacies of
procedures so that appropriate review and corrective action can be

The physical demands described here are representative of those
that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the
essential functions of this job. Successful candidates must pass a
pre-employment physical and drug test.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to
stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; reach with
hands and arms; climb or balance; work from heights, and stoop,
kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or
move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 55
pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include
close vision, and ability see color and adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently
exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and
vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of
extreme conditions on site. The noise level in the work environment
and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving
mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement
weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust. In addition this
job also operates in a professional office environment. This role
routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones,
photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Skills and experience required
A high school diploma or GED is required with additional secondary
education or trade training preferred. Previous technical
manufacturing process work experience is a plus. The position
requires working in a 24hr per day/7 days per week/365 day per year
operation that requires the individual to work a 12 hour rotating
shift, three days on / three days off with a fast rotation from
days to nights.
