Job Description Job Description We are a growth-oriented divorce
and family law firm seeking a high-level leader to oversee and
elevate our legal team. This is not just a senior attorney position
— it is a leadership role for someone who thrives on building
systems, developing people, and holding a team accountable to high
standards. The ideal candidate understands the complexity of family
law litigation but is equally energized by leading attorneys and
staff, ensuring performance standards are met, improving workflows,
and stepping into cases strategically when necessary. You will
serve as the operational leader of the legal department — driving
results, strengthening accountability, and ensuring clients receive
exceptional representation. Compensation- $155,000 – $225,000 (Base
Bonus Potential) Base salary depending on experience, leadership
background, and EOS familiarity. Compensation: $155,000 – $225,000
Base Bonus Potential DOE Responsibilities: Work closely with
paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the
civil litigation process Assist clients effectively by
understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing
and deciding on a proper course of action Prepare legal documents
such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements,
contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases
Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up
to date Manage the division of marital assets, including real
estate, during divorce proceedings when needed Lead the Legal Team
& Drive Accountability Hold attorneys and staff accountable for
hours, deadlines, and execution. Own weekly performance tracking
and department scoreboards. Coach attorneys for stronger
performance and higher standards. Address issues directly and
early—without drama or avoidance. Improve consistency in file
quality, preparation, and client service. Build and Improve Legal
Systems Identify breakdowns in workflow and case handling. Create,
refine, and enforce SOPs and best practices. Improve task
management, calendaring discipline, and communication. Train the
team on new systems and ensure adoption. Manage a Select Caseload
(Higher-Value Matters) Carry fewer cases than other attorneys.
Personally handle/oversee higher-value or more complex matters.
Provide escalation support and strategy to attorneys on contested
matters. Ensure excellent preparation for hearings, trials, and key
client meetings. Get It Done This role requires a strong work ethic
and ownership. You must be willing to work the hours necessary to
meet deadlines and deliver excellent results—especially in
trial/hearing seasons. Qualifications: Active Illinois law license
(required). 7 years of family law litigation experience (divorce,
custody, financial matters). Strong courtroom and negotiation
skills. Prior leadership or team management experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to hold others accountable professionally and
constructively. High level of organization and operational
thinking. Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on
legal execution. Comfortable using case management and performance
tracking systems. Strong preference for candidates with EOS
experience (Traction, Rocks, Scorecards, L10 meetings,
