technology capabilities and platforms Responsibilities: The Sr.
Director of Tech@Lilly Business Development will be responsible for
providing strategic leadership of IT systems and processes across
the MADS Lifecycle. This role involves engaging in the due
diligence process, developing IT integration and divestitures
playbooks/strategies and plans, ensuring seamless execution, while
maintaining compliance and regulatory requirements. The ideal
candidate will have comprehensive experience in IT strategy
including infrastructure and applications, a deep understanding of
the M&A lifecycle and processes, expertise in change and
communications, and experience in IT project portfolio management.
They will act as a liaison between IT and Business, ensuring that
technology due diligence, integration/divestiture planning and
execution aligns with M&A strategic objectives and operational
readiness M&A Strategy Development: Develop with Tech@Lilly and
Business leadership IT integration / divestiture strategies that
align with Lilly’s M&A objectives Pre-Deal Due Diligence:
Conduct thorough IT/Commercial/Process/Product due diligence at
Lilly to identify potential risks, integration challenges, and
opportunities and ensure informed decision making and smooth post
deal IT Integration/Separation Integration/Separation Planning:
Develop comprehensive IT integration and Separation playbooks for
Lilly, including execution timelines, resource allocation,
financial planning and risk management strategies Project Portfolio
Management: Lead end to end IT integration / Separation /Special
projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and
aligned to Lilly Business goals and quality standards Technology
Implementation: Drive the integration/separation of IT systems,
rationalization of applications, technology transformation and
Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and Compliance check, ensuring
compatibility and minimal disruption to business operations
Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead cross functional workstreams
within Lilly M&A Projects (i.e. Project Portfolio Management,
Financial Management, TSA Management, Change Management etc.) to
ensure their alignment to IT Roadmaps and overall program
objectives Data Management: Ensure the secure and timely transfer
of data across stakeholder companies during transactions,
maintaining data integrity and compliance with Lilly Data
regulations Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with
all stakeholders, including executive leadership, IT teams, and
business units, to ensure alignment and transparency of M&A
projects Overall Leadership: Mentor Lilly IT professionals,
fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture Risk/Issues
Management: Identify, escalate and mitigate IT-related risks/issues
associated with Lilly M&A activities Post M&A Support:
Provide ongoing support and monitoring post-merger / divestiture to
ensure the continued success of Lilly’s M&A capabilities Basic
Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s in Information Technology,
Computer Science or a related technical field. A master’s degree is
a plus. Past Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT
management, with at least 10 years in a leadership role focused on
M&A Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure,
technology integration/interfaces, data management, and
cybersecurity Project Management: Proven experience in managing
large-scale IT projects, including M&A integrations and
divestitures Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex IT
environments and develop effective integration/divestiture
strategies Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written
communication skills, with the ability to present complex
information clearly and concisely Leadership: Demonstrated
leadership abilities, with experience in leading and developing
high-performing teams in an agile environment Adaptability: Ability
to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple
projects simultaneously Additional Skills/Preferences: Extensive
Experience in Life Sciences and Healthcare Industry Experience with
Manufacturing in a regulated environment Familiarity with regional
regulatory requirements across the globe and compliance standards
relevant to the industry Experience across all lates technological
advancements including cloud computing, ERP systems, Artificial
Intelligence and digital transformation initiatives Additional

on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic
location. The anticipated wage for this position is $154,500 -
$226,600 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a
company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual
performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit
