ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Lafayette, Indiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/07/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts with weekend coverage required • Self-scheduling with 36 hours of orientation provided • Float to other units as needed within hospital or affiliate hospitals • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • Must have Indiana state, compact, or Indiana temporary license in hand prior to start • Minimum 1 year of experience required with solid neuro experience preferred • Accept MS/Tele or PCU RN experience • Patient ratios: MS patients 1:5-6, PCU patients 1:3-4 (acuity-based) • Manage mixed acuity unit with medical surgical and progressive care patients • Care for oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary patients • Administer cardizem, amiodarone, and insulin drips • Manage unstable stroke patients and BiPAP therapy • Work with adult and geriatric patient populations • Daily census of 29-31 patients across 31 beds • Dress code: red scrub top with black bottoms • Chart using Cerner system with free parking provided • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays • Maximum 5 days non-holiday time off can be auto-approved • Locals (Indiana residents) not accepted for this position Facility: This short-term acute care hospital features 194 staffed beds and provides comprehensive medical services across multiple specialties.
