hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals is required Description:
The Physical Therapist will work in an acute care setting. The
position requires at least one weekend per month. The therapist is
expected to evaluate, develop, and follow a plan of care.
Responsibilities include performing gait training, therapeutic
exercises, and therapeutic activities. The therapist will assess
the appropriateness of discharge disposition recommendations on a
daily basis. Supervision and guidance of Physical Therapist
Assistants is required. The therapist will manage a daily caseload
and complete documentation requirements. Expectations include
attending multidisciplinary rounds. Experience with charting
systems is preferred. The role includes working with patients of
varying acuity levels. Common diagnoses the therapist will
encounter include CABG, stroke, TBI, joint replacements,
respiratory illnesses, and other medical conditions. Compliance
with productivity standards is expected. Candidates should possess
skills in various therapeutic techniques and modalities. Teamwork
and effective communication with other healthcare professionals are
crucial. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong time
management and patient assessment skills. Knowledge of safety and
injury prevention techniques is essential. This role requires a
