ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Indianapolis, Indiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Work in progressive care unit focusing on cardiovascular patients • 1:4 patient ratio maintained across all shifts • Must be flexible with weekend requirements - work 50% of weekends during contract • Floating required to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) at University and Methodist Hospitals • 2 years of nursing experience required • Trauma Level I experience required • Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS preferred • Must be comfortable with precepting and having students shadow • 36 hours of orientation provided • Required skills: Cardiac PCU, drips, post cath lab procedures, IV starts, sheath pulls • Preferred skills: Conscious sedation and telemetry • Care for patients with cardiovascular diagnoses including CHF, post-MI, arrhythmias, COPD • Handle post-cath lab procedures and pre-transplant patients • Charge nurse responsibilities may be required with training • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays • Refusal to float may result in contract termination • Call-in policy requires makeup shifts or contract extension Facility: This major academic medical center operates as a teaching facility with comprehensive cardiovascular services. The progressive care unit features 28 beds with a daily census of 27 patients, supported by interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility provides advanced cardiac care including pre and post-procedural monitoring for complex cardiovascular conditions and serves as a regional referral center for specialized cardiac procedures.
