Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months required License: Must have an in-state license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Telemetry, IV Start, Cardiac & Vasoactive drips, BiPAP, and High Flow Oxygen Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care Unit. The unit does not accept travel pairs. Candidates must have 18 months of nursing experience. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend work is required. The clinician may float within their scope to meet facility needs. Local candidates are not accepted. Pending licenses are not accepted; an in-state license and required certifications must be in hand to submit. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Guaranteed hours vary based on the number of shifts worked. Special requirements include experience with telemetry, IV starts, and managing cardiac and vasoactive drips. Experience with BiPAP and high flow oxygen is also required. The unit is a Cardiac and Medical PCU, functioning as a true ICU stepdown. Patient care includes heart caths and management of cardiac and vasoactive medications. Candidates should have charge nurse experience and be comfortable with conscious sedation. Patient ratios for days and nights are 4:1. Candidates must be able to adapt to floating within the facility as needed. All candidates will need to provide references upon submission.
