Travel Nurse Job Details Location: Lafayette, Indiana 47905 Unit: AC5 Ortho/Neuro (Med/Surg) Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Job Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/2/2025 – End: 3/3/2026) Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (18:00 – 06:30) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1770 - $1820 Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics Charting System: Cerner EMR Free Parking Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 1.5 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital setting Active Indiana Registered Nurse license required prior to start date BLS certification required; NIHSS and ACLS certifications preferred Clinical experience with pre/post neuro surgery, total joint replacements, trauma care, and IV starts Ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias preferred Willingness to float within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Two supervisor references required Travel nurses must reside outside Indiana (local candidates not accepted for this unit) Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the AC5 Ortho/Neuro Med/Surg unit Manage a patient ratio of 1:5-6 Care for patients with orthopedic, gynecological, urology, neurosurgery, and medical diagnoses (COPD, pneumonia, UTI, cellulitis, COVID-19, small bowel obstruction, etc.) Perform and manage total joint replacements, continuous bladder irrigation, hysterectomy, chest tubes, ENT surgery, and bone fracture care Start and maintain IVs, manage PICC lines, surgical drains, wound care, and wound vac therapy Administer blood products, heparin, oxygen therapy, and provide non-invasive airway management Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy Float to other hospital units or affiliate hospitals as required Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Lafayette, Indiana!
