Job Description:
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified PCU RN in Lafayette, Indiana, 47905! Pay Information
$2,089 per week About The Position Job Title: Charge Registered
Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU Duration: 13
weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 18 months of
recent charge experience required License: Must have an in-state
license prior to start date Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
preferred Must-Have: Telemetry, IV Start, Cardiac & Vasoactive
drips, BiPAP and High Flow Oxygen required Description: Charge
Registered Nurses will receive a pay increase. Charge Nurses are
expected to take a limited patient assignment if staffing requires.
The patient ratio is budgeted at 3:1 with a maximum ratio of 4:1. A
full assignment for Charge is 2:1. Registered Nurses will be at 4:1
before Charge goes into staffing. Charge Nurses are required to
work weekends. Certification requirements include ACLS, BLS, and
NIHSS preferred. Floating within scope to meet facility needs is
expected. The unit is a true ICU stepdown with cardiac and medical
patients. Special procedures include administration of Levo, Dopa,
Nitro, Cardizem, and Amio. Charge Nurses should have skills in
blood product administration, central line care, and interpretation
of dysrhythmias. Experience with rapid response and code teams is
preferred. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. All
qualifications must be in hand prior to the start date. Reference
requirements include 2 supervisor references. Candidates should be
prepared to float within the facility or to nearby affiliate
hospitals. This position does not allow for local candidates. No
on-call requirements are expected. Additional skills required
include management of dysrhythmias and peripheral line care.
Orientation is not available for this position. This role involves
managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration.
