Job Description iDEAL Hire is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown
for a travel nursing job in Indianapolis, Indiana. Job Description
& Requirements - Specialty: Stepdown - Discipline: RN - Duration:
13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment
Type: Travel Position Details - Start Date: ASAP - Shift: Not
specified (assumed flexible based on operational needs) - Weekends:
Every other weekend; consecutive weekends may be required based on
operational needs - Call-Ins: - 0.9 FTE: Must make up missed shift
during pay period; if unable, shift added to end of contract - 1.2
FTE: Missed shifts added to end of contract - Charge Pay:
$3.00/hour bill rate bump - Charge Coverage: May be required with
provided training and resources - Floating: Expected to float
between Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU at University and Methodist
Hospitals with resources provided - Locals: Not accepted - COVID
Vaccine: Required effective 9/1; declinations not accepted, but
medical/religious exemptions allowed with doctor’s note - IN RN
Restriction: Effective 11/30/24, IN RNs not allowed (except
Periop/OR, Allied, and Ambulatory RNs: ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab
RN, SDS) Traveler Requirements - Experience: Minimum 2 years;
MedSurg RNs with ICU/PCU patient experience considered with 2
additional years - Certifications: ACLS, BCLS - License: IN/Compact
license required Unit Details - Type: 32-bed mixed model unit (15
PCU beds, 17 MedSurg beds) - Staffing Ratios: - PCU: 1:4 - MedSurg:
1:5-6 - Mixed assignments: 4-5 patients (MedSurg/PCU combined based
on staff skill set) - Patient Population: - Cardiac medical, valve
replacement (cardiac/pulmonary), COPD, CHF, pulmonary fibrosis,
lung cancer, lung transplant (pre/post), trach-to-vent,
neurodegenerative diseases requiring trach-to-vent, trauma
(cervical spinal fx) requiring trach-to-vent, flu, TB, COVID-19 (3
patients currently) - Primary Focus: Cardio-pulmonary with emphasis
