Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: BLS and ACLS certified IV medication administration experience Tracheostomy care experience Experience with ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen delivery devices Ability to perform phlebotomy and IV insertions Description: Unit profile provides an understanding of the unit. The unit has a total of 27 beds. Patient ratios are 1:3 and 1:4. Equipment includes monitor systems and an electronic medical record system. Type of patients on the unit includes those with respiratory failure, sepsis, decompensated liver failure, alcohol withdrawal, polysubstance abuse, gastrointestinal bleed, and heart failure. Personality fit should include the ability to care for patients with complex medical needs. Candidates should be team-oriented and thrive in a positive work environment. Unit procedures include chest tube placement, IV insertion, blood transfusions, and bedside bronchoscopy.
