Pay Information $2,811 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required, trauma level I experience required. License: Indiana or compact license required. Certifications: BCLS, ACLS preferred. Must-Have: Flexibility with weekend requirements, travelers must be able to work 50% of the weekends in their contract. Call-ins must be made up during the pay period or added to the end of the contract. Travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care, including Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU. Description: This position is for a registered nurse in a progressive care unit that closely monitors patients with cardiovascular diagnoses. Conditions treated include congestive heart failure, post-myocardial infarction, pulmonary hypertension, and cardiac arrhythmias. Nurses will care for patients post-cath lab procedures, prior to LVAD placements or heart/lung transplants, and pre-valve replacements. Refusal to float to different care areas may result in termination of the contract. The role may include charge nurse responsibilities, pending operational needs, with training and resources provided. Nurses will be required to precept and/or have students shadow them while on assignment. A minimum of 18 months of nursing experience is required. Floating to nearby affiliate hospitals may be required for all travelers. Conscious sedation and telemetry experience is preferred.
