This is a Full-Time Night shift position!
MPCU is a dynamic mixed acuity unit comprised of both medical
surgical and progressive levels of care. Areas of care include
oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal and pulmonary. As the
Oncology unit, all MPCU nurses grow and remain the experts in
Cancer Care and End of Life care in the hospital. MPCU is the
Certified Stroke unit and our nurses are the experts in the
hospital for stroke care. This expertise won the unit and the
hospital the highest recognition from the American Heart
Association and the American Stroke Association of a Gold Plus with
Honors. This is a direct reflection of the knowledge and expertise
the nurses on this Stroke unit possess.
MPCU is the only unit in the hospital where a nurse has the
opportunities to receive four types of ANCC Certifications: Medical
Surgical, Progressive Care, Oncology and Stroke

The Clinical Nurse reflects the mission, vision, and values of

(RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and
coordination of competent, evidence-based care along the care

clinical nurse participates in decision-making, teaching,
mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to
advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and enhance

Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses
