OverviewResponsible for the overall business development process
across Mastec Renewables sector. Partner with VP of Estimating to
assess current processes, drive consistency in approach, tools,
vision across Mastec Renewables. Assist in hiring, coaching, and
developing business development professionals and serve as senior
group-level mentor for business development efforts across the
sector. Responsible for the development of new business contacts,
managing and maintaining existing customer relations, contacts and
sales in the markets connected to the strategic plans of each
service line within the Renewables sector.Location & Travel:
Preference may be given to candidates that can be located in or
near one of our office locations: Indianapolis, IN, Fargo, ND or
Phoenix, AZ. This can be a remote position dependent upon candidate
skill set and years of experience. This position can expect to
support our business across the United States in multiple time
zones. This position can expect to travel at least 50% or

- Responsible for the overall business development process across
Mastec Renewables
- Partner with SVP of Renewables Development in strategic
planning efforts across Mastec Renewables
- Translate overall strategy into sales and marketing strategies
to support the strategic plan
- Partner with Service & Operational Vice Presidents to assess
current processes, drive consistency in approach, tools, and
vision
- Assist in hiring, coaching, and developing business development
professionals for Mastec Renewables
- Serve as senior group-level mentor for business development
efforts across Mastec Renewables
- Responsible for the development of new business contacts,
managing and maintaining existing customer relations, contacts and
sales in the markets connected to the strategic plans of each
service line
- Identify, develop and lead sales opportunities through industry
research, calls to clients, media, site visits and attending trade
shows and conventions
- Work with Renewables Business Analyst to present quarterly on
current state of the business
- Obtain a deep knowledge of and experience with owners,
developers, architects and other decision makers in target
markets
- Develop relationships in industry through external avenues such
as Renewable industry committees and key vendor partners
- Build rapport with a network of contacts including suppliers,
subcontractors, customers and engineers
- Work closely with Service Line Presidents, Vice Presidents, and
Business Development professionals on business leads
- Lead overall Business Development strategy development based on
strategic plan of Mastec Renewables
- Effectively lead a team of other Business Development
professionals
- Observe applicable current events, business trends and activity
of competitors in order to gain information to make good business
decisions and improve our strategy
- Manage and execute marketing plans and programs, both short and
long-range, to ensure the profit growth and expansion of products
and/or services
- Work closely with Marketing to understand our brand strategy
and current campaigns
- Partner and collaborate with key internal stakeholders to
ensure consistent brand messaging is conveyed
- Communicate marketing efforts to all Mastec Renewables
employees
- Seek out and use industry sources and consumer information
- Partner with Marketing to track brand campaign results to
ensure objectives are achieved within designated budgets
- Travel to various service line locations, assisting Business
Development and other departments as needed
- Travel to tradeshows and client visits as
neededQualificationsEducation and Work Experience Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Construction
Management or a Business-related field or equivalent
experience
- 15+ years in direct marketing, sales or business development of
large-scale industrial construction or service related
fieldsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety
