Position Summary:The Family and Community Engagement Manager is responsible for overall administration of family services, community collaborations, and eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, and attendance (ERSEA) processes. This includes supervision of the Home Visitors and Intake Workers. The Family and Community Engagement Manager reports to the Early Care and Education Director and serves as a member of the administrative team.Essential Functions:The duties identified below are the essential functions of the position.   • Ensure updates to and execution of the program's Parent, Family, and Community Engagement (PFCE) plan
  • Lead the administrative team in the monitoring and completion of the annual Program Information Report (PIR)
  • Lead the administrative team in the completion and analysis of the annual Community Assessment
  • Lead the administrative team in annual updates to the program's Recruitment Plan and Eligibility Criteria
  • Ensure regular, ongoing data-focused monitoring of family services and outcomes
  • Collaborates with the Education Manager for oversight of the Family Engagement Worker team
  • Analyze data to determine program needs and inform course corrections
  • Identify and engage community resources that enhance offerings to families and create ongoing partnerships
  • Ensure family and community engagement staff have the resources, training, and supervision needed to optimize their performance
  • Participate in monthly Policy Council meetings, providing written reports and oral account of program updates
  • Ensure compliance with Bauer Policies, State Licensing, and Head Start Program Performance Standards
  • Organize and deliver staff meetings, monthly Professional Development Days, and annual Pre-Service
  • Attend administrative meetings and All-Agency meetingsQUALIFICATIONS:To perform this position successfully, an individual must demonstrate regular, predictable attendance and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skill required. The individual must be able to successfully pass background checks.Education/Certification/Licensure:
    • Bachelor's degree in human services, sociology, education or other related field
    • Valid Driver LicenseExperience Required:
      • 3-5 years previous experience
      • 3-5 years previous supervisory experienceKnowledge and Skills Required:
        • Commitment to serving children and families in poverty with the highest quality services
        • Willingness to learn and apply new knowledge
        • Ability to coach, educate, and mentor others
        • Strong connection with the community and ability to maintain positive relationships
        • Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
        • Attention to detail
        • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
        • Organization and time management
        • Strong math skillsPhysical Requirements:To accomplish the essential functions of the position, one must be physically able to operate or work with computers,calculators, reference books, computer software applications, phones, and other standard office equipment. The physicalactivities of the position include talking, reaching, grasping, light lifting, bending, squatting, and other repetitive motions.Working Conditions:
          • Work is considered sedentary and performed mainly in a pleasant office environment with rare exposure to environmental factors.
          • Minimal safety hazards with general working conditions.
