Job Description:
Join the innovative engineering team at Lincoln Electric as an
Applications Design Engineer and contribute to pioneering solutions
in the welding and cutting sectors. Based out of Cleveland, Ohio,
you will engage in designing and refining applications that meet
both market needs and the high standards of quality and innovation
that Lincoln Electric upholds. Working at the cutting edge of
manufacturing technology, you'll collaborate with cross-functional
teams to develop practical, efficient, and cutting-edge products
pivotal to the industry's advancement. Design and develop
engineering solutions and product applications specifically for
welding and cutting technologies. Collaborate with research and
development teams to integrate new technology and ensure designs
are feasible for manufacturing. Create detailed design
documentation and specifications for manufacturing and
implementation. Conduct simulation and testing on new product
designs to analyze feasibility, performance, and compliance with
industry standards. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving complex
engineering issues related to new or existing product applications.
Liaise with sales and customer service teams to understand client
needs and provide technical support and assistance. Proficiency in
CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks. Strong understanding of
materials science and mechanical engineering principles applicable
to welding and cutting processes. Capability to work with
cross-functional teams and communicate technical ideas clearly.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Knowledge
of industry standards related to welding and manufacturing. Medical

Certification from the American Welding Society (AWS) or similar is
advantageous. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
