Job Description:

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Provides direction for children in the program and implements curriculum. Provide a quality experience to children and parents that focus on building achievement and belonging in youth and relationships among youth and within families.Essential Functions:1. Create and implement curriculum at preschool level2. Provides close care of youth in program and releasing to authorized adults only3. Expresses concerns and ongoings to the Childcare Leadership Team4. Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information5. Cultivates positive relationships6. Facilitates communication and positive relationships between YMCA families and YMCA staff7. Maintains classroom, equipment, and cleaning supplies8. Previous experience working with youth preferred2. At least 18 years of age3. Proactive, hands-on and professional work ethic4. CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date5. Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds6.
